The Parks web page says: Cloudland Canyon State Park is in northwest Georgia, on the western edge of Lookout Mountain. Boulder-strewn Sitton Gulch Creek cuts a deep gorge into the mountain. Sitton's Gulch Trail runs parallel to the creek. The short, steep Waterfalls Trail, with stairs down into the canyon, leads to Cherokee Falls and Hemlock Falls, where water cascades down into pools. Nearby, Sitton’s Cave has mineral formation.

What Kind of Park is this? A State Park

1. The parks views:

The Falls and river are really beautiful as is the forest trail

2. The Parks cost:

$5.00 for parking or a yearly park pass.

3. The Parks bathrooms:

They were at the visitors center as well as at the main trail head.

4. How long is the hike?

If you just do the 2 waterfalls I think that would be about 2 miles, The hiking club I was with did about 7 miles

5. The parks shopping and souvenirs:

There are T-shits, post cards, hats and many other souvenirs. They also had a few snacks (mostly candy) and drinks.

6. Does the park have wheelchair and stroller access?

No

7. How helpful are the parks maps and markers?

Answer is They were really pretty good. The trails were well maintained and they had colored markers and posts to let you know which way to go. This does not mean you can't get lost. It just means it's no worse than any park I've been to.

8. Is the park kid and dog friendly? Yes and both were on the trail, but kids should be closely watched and dogs might find the grated stairs - 525 or so difficult to manage. The couple with our group brought their dog down the stairs in a special doggie backpack.

9. Is there a uniqueness about the park? yes, the waterfalls and trails are really beautiful and so is the breathtaking view from the start of the trail.

10. Was it worthwhile? Yes, lots of great views, but this is not an easy trail. Going up the stairs at the end was really hard because we were already tired from the hike. However if you just go to the waterfalls and back up I think a beginner could easily manage it.
