The name of this trail is? There are 3 Trails from this park. This is one of the entrances to the greenbelt trail although it is not one of the trailheads. You can see it on the top right of the map. The park also has a trail that goes around the ball fields it is 7,203 steps or 2.89 miles. This trail has no name and not a lot of markers but is easy enough to follow. The third path is a short paved path that goes around castle playground. It would probably take a dozen laps to make a mile but if you have kids the playground is great, so they could play and you could get in a good workout and be right there if they need you.

What Kind of trail is this? The trail title is for the Carrolton Greenbelt entrance because the parks trails have no name and aren't on any map. With more than 18 miles of concrete path, the GreenBelt claims the title of the longest, paved loop trail in Georgia!

The Parks Amenities: The amenities I'm listing are for the Carrolton Park and Recreation Center and not for the Greenbelt path. This parks amenities are Trails, a skate park, several soccer fields, several baseball fields, Picnic Tables, a Picnic Pavillion, Benches, A Bathroom building, Parking, Trashcans, and a fishing lake. The Recreation Center has a pool and offers several classes. To find out more about the classes call the number above. You can get a printed copy of the greenbelt map at their front desk.

The Parks web page says: Longest loop! With more than 18 miles of concrete path, the GreenBelt claims the title of the longest, paved loop trail in Georgia!

Carrollton GreenBelt is the largest green-space and green-way conservation project that the City of Carrollton has undertaken. True Multi-Use The shared-use path was designed for pedestrians, bikers, and other non-motorized users and to connect neighborhoods with the Carrollton City School campus, University of West Georgia, city parks, and several commercial and shopping areas.

Connections GreenBelt serves the community in several capacities. Primarily, it serves as a recreational opportunity. Given the planned, strategic location of the trail, the community can also utilize the trail as an alternative to vehicular travel. Green Space The Carrollton GreenBelt is a linear city park! The trail connects several active and passive recreational areas that include ball fields, gyms, a pool, and new mountain bike trails.

This parks rating is 9 out of 10 stars

The good, the bad, and the buggy, a short review of the park.

The good things about this park is that it has something for everyone.

The bad things about this park is that the shorter trail around the ball fields has no name, map or markers. The greenbelt trail has to either be a major bike or hike undertaking or be several out and back hikes or you could leap frog with a friend and have one person park at the end of the segment of trail you want to hike and ride back with you to the start of the trail then give you a ride back to your car when your done. Whatever you decide to do on the greenbelt trail you will need to do some planning.

The buggy I’m a bug’s favorite chew toy so how much did they love me? Part of the trail goes thru the woods so, yes use some bug spray when you go.

6. Does the park have wheelchair and stroller access? Yes the greenbelt does and the path around the playground does. The path around the park is partially paved but half of it is a natural trail and not accessible.
