I gave it a parks to avoid rating because it needs repairs and the trail is not well marked.

This trail is in the same park as the peach tree city dog park and BMX park.

Address: 201 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City, GA 30269

Phone: (770) 486-7774

The Parks web page says: This vast, forested wetland area features a boardwalk, mulched trails, lookouts & an amphitheater.

This parks rating is 7 out of 10 stars

The good the bad and the buggy. A short review of the park.

The good thing about this park is that the boardwalk was nice before it was damaged and it has nice benches where you can look at the stream and wetlands. The bad things about this park is that it now has trees down blocking parts of the trail (you can easily go over or around them.) and part of the board walk is missing and blocked off. I went in early March 2023 and don't know when they will fix it. the buggy I’m a bug’s favorite chew toy so how much did they love me? not to bad this time, but last time they munched on me big time. There are a lot of wetlands that the boardwalk goes thru so bring bug spay.

What Kind of Park is this? It's a nature preserve walking trail and about 1/2 of it is boardwalk.

1. The parks views: Very nice views of the wetlands and stream.

2. The Parks cost: Free

3. The Parks bathrooms: There is a nice bathroom building near the entrance.

4. How long is the hike? 0.85 miles if the boardwalk is fixed.

5. The parks shopping and souvenirs: No it doesn't have any.

6. Does the park have wheelchair and stroller access? No the path to the boardwalk is a dirt path and there are lots of roots to navigate.

7. How helpful are the parks maps and markers? Not very good. I didn't see any map and the signs at the beginning of the trail were good, but the dirt path to the boardwalk split and there was no sign. If you looked to the right you could see the beginning of the boardwalk so it was a good guess and a correct one if you went right. I have no idea where the left trail went though.

8. Is the park kid and dog friendly? Yes

9. Is there good internet service? Yes

10. Was it worthwhile? Answer is Maybe. For the rating I'll give it a yes, but the trail needs repairs, and it's a short there and back trail and I prefer loop trails.

Bonus Questions

11. What amenities did the park provide? It has 3 dog parks (little dogs, big dogs and a third for training dogs. It also has a BMX track.

12. Was there a uniqueness about the park? Yes it's a great boardwalk and nature trail winding thru the wetlands and forest, however it is very much like the other nature park trails that go thru wetlands is Georgia. I would recommend that you choose a nature trail near you and go to that one. They are all similar in view and trail quality and differ mostly in the miles they cover.

13. Places nearby to eat? I didn't see anything around when I was there.

14. Was there a gas station nearby? I think there was but I didn't see any close by the way I came or left.

15. How safe was the park? Answer is I think this park was very safe but the roots provided a tripping hazard.

16. Spirit Animal for the park? Today’s spirit animal is a Grey Squirrel

The trails spirit animal is selected by any animal I see at the park or on my way to the park. I find that looking for the days spirit animal makes my hike more fun and reminds me to stop and enjoy the beauty of my journey.
