The good the bad and the buggy. A short review of the park.
The good thing about this park is the park trail is easy to follow and well maintained The bad thing about this park is that it only has one trail and seems to be more of a lake for recreation, fishing or kayaking. than a place for hiking but it does have a nice trail to use. the buggy I’m a bugs favorite person to bite so on a scale of 1 meaning I didn’t get bitten to 10 meaning I was a mosquito, gnat etc. chew toy, this park is a 1 - no bugs on me.
The Parks web page says: Waterside community recreation area with parking, shelters & fishing on the lake. There are some restrictions as to what is allowed on Lake McIntosh. Only boats with electric motors, canoes, paddleboats, and sailboats are allowed on the lake. Fishing is allowed from boats and from the shore. Anyone who is 16 years or older must purchase a Georgia fishing license. You can buy one at Walmart, Kmart, or online. Lake Macintosh is a family friendly park with a playground, gazebo, restrooms, boat ramps, and docks.
