The good the bad and the buggy. A short review of the park.
The good things about this park is that you can walk around the lake and watch the canadian geese. Fishing with permits is also allowed. The bad things about this park that it has no bathrooms (if you check the Library hours you could use theirs) and the path around the lake is hard to find the beginning of. If you follow the golf path/road in frount of what appears to be an old closed barbeque house/restaurant and go straight towards the lake where the drive way turns to circle for parking you will see a path that crosses the dam on the lake. As soon as you cross the dam you will notice straight ahead a path with wooden stairs going up. Soon after you reach the top of the stairs you will come to a T on the trail. If you go left you will go back around the lower part of the lake that you saw when you came in. If you go to the right you will go around the upper part of the lake to Howard Road. Turn right on Howard road and walk along the road until you come to a golf cart paved trail and turn right. The golf cart trail leads to the other side of the lake and the library, and parking. the buggy I’m a bugs favorite person to bite so on a scale of 1 meaning I didn’t get bitten to 10 meaning I was a mosquito, gnat etc. chew toy, this park is a 3, I got a few bug bites.

What Kind of Park is this? It's more of a lake that you can walk around. Their are two trails that join together in the middle with a small inlet trail that begins immediately after the dam path crosses the lake.
1. The parks views:
The lake, ducks and geese are the view. I also saw a blue heron flying across the lake.
2. The Parks cost:
Free
3. The Parks bathrooms:
The library is next to the lake but the park has no bathroom of its own. It would be a good idea to go when the library is open so you can use their wonderful shaded outdoor porch area and the bathrooms.
4. How long is the hike?
About a mile or 2 depending on if you go around part of the lake or all the way around.
5. The parks shopping and souvenirs:
None unless you catch a fish or take pictures. There is a dollar general close by and I picked up a couple of real nice goose feathers from the trail.
6. Does the park have wheelchair and stroller access?
No not really
7. How helpful are the parks maps and markers?
There are no maps or markers or even a sign that says the name of the lake.
8. Is the park kid and dog friendly?
yes.
9. Is there tent and RV camping?
no
10. Was it worthwhile? Yes
