The good the bad and the buggy. A short review of the park.
Get ready to be amazed by the beautiful waterfalls, landscape and scenery that is Tallulah George. One of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. Visitors can hike rim trails to several overlooks, or they can obtain a permit to hike to the gorge floor. A suspension bridge sways 80 feet above the rocky bottom, providing spectacular views of the river and waterfalls. A paved path follows an on old railroad bed, perfect for strollers and bicycles.

The Parks web page says: Tallulah Gorge State Park is a 2,689-acre Georgia state park adjacent to Tallulah Falls, Georgia, along the county line between Rabun and Habersham Counties. The park surrounds Tallulah Gorge, a 1,000-foot deep gorge formed by the action of the Tallulah River, which runs along the floor of the gorge.

The gift shop at the visitor center has a lot to choose from.
6. Does the park have wheelchair and stroller access?
Answer is Parts of it are but the stairs and the suspension bridge aren't
7. How helpful are the parks maps and markers?
The paths are well worn and kept up and the lookouts were all numbered.
8. Is the park kid and dog friendly?
Yes but of course dogs must be on a leash and the stairs might be hard for a dog to navigate. there are 1999 stairs going to then from the suspension bridge.
9. Is there anything unique about the park?
Yes the views of the falls and dam are really worth the trip.
10. Was it worthwhile? Yes I really loved the views and would defiantly go back.

11. What amenities did the park provide? Picnic shelter, benches, bathrooms, playground and lake with beach.
12. Was there tent, cabin and RV camping? Yes
13. Places nearby to eat? Across the street from the main entrance.
14. Was there a gas station nearby? Yes
15. How safe was the park? Very, but of course it is a natural area and caution is always necessary.
16. Is the park maintained well? Absolutely
17. Is there good internet service? Yes
18. What would I have brought or left behind if I hiked this trail again?
Bug spray and Kleenex
19. How far is this from Atlanta? 1 1/2 hour drive
20. Spirit Animal for the park? American Goldfinch I saw about 6 of them at the bird feeder outside the window opposite the gift shop in the visitor center. It was really cool, I hadn't seen them before and to get to see so many at once was really great.
